• Envelope remediation was complete a few years ago decent storage area in suite

• Great view overlooking the Gorge Waterway
• Secure, covered parking and bike storage
• Bright and sunny unit
• Two cats are allowed or one dog
• Water is included, electricity is not
• Located at Harriet & Gorge, in Saanich on the border with Victoria
• Close to downtown and Uptown
• Excellent location for walkers and cyclists, and only a few steps from the bus

Becoming a member in Waterside Housing Cooperative

To live in Waterside Housing Coop you must become a member of the cooperative. We have 27 members - one per unit. The Share price of housing coop is $2000. When you leave the coop your share purchase will be returned in full, assuming you leave your unit in good condition and have no arrears with the coop. Membership in the coop entails participating in both the management and maintenance of the coop. You are far more than just a tenant.

(Note to prospective applicants: The rental market in the Victoria area is extremely tight, which is the consequence of rapid escalation in land and housing costs in BC's urban housing markets with very little increase in rental housing supply. Housing co-ops have generally not followed in lock-step with the rental market, and the effect of that is an increasing gap as co-op housing costs increase at a modest and controlled rate, while "market" housing costs increase dramatically. This in turn results in a reduced number of members leaving co-ops, and a much higher rate of new applications received by co-ops . So, Waterside, like other co-ops "has no vacancies at this time" and it is likely that this situation will not loosen up until these fundamental market conditions relax.)
